Saffron is one of the most popular agricultural products, and its unique aroma and flavor have made it a favorite among many. The threads harvested from the saffron plant are divided into different types, and each of these categories has its own characteristics and is introduced with a specific name. Among the types of saffron cultivated in Iran, one of the best types is Sargol saffron, which is also known as premium saffron.

The reason for naming this saffron is the separation of the cream part of saffron from its stigma. In explaining the cream and stigma parts, it should be said that the cream part is the same yellow part found in saffron threads. The red part of saffron is also called stigma. To obtain Sargol saffron, you only need the upper part of the saffron thread, which is the red part of the saffron thread, i.e. stigma.
